The Weeping Water Public Schools Board of Education has scheduled a community meeting for Tuesday, January 24, 2023. The public session will take place at Weeping Water Public Schools Reserve Gym, 204 West O Street in Weeping Water, NE beginning at 6:30pm. Representatives of the Nebraska Association of School Boards will facilitate the community engagement process.
This community discussion is part of a larger Community Engagement process and will give the Board of Education and district administration the opportunity to listen to community stakeholders. The results will help formulate a vision of the future, and identify goals and strategies necessary to move the district forward to meet the challenges of the 21st century. We will be discussing the strengths, accomplishments, and challenges of our school district, the vision, and expectations for our schools and the goals and objectives necessary to design our future.
While this meeting is an opportunity to discuss specific questions, it also reflects our ongoing commitment to ensuring that our district programs reflect the values and wisdom of our local community. As we look to prepare our students for college and career, we want to be sure we understand our community’s perspectives as follows:
- Identify the points of pride, accomplishments, and achievements of the school district.
- Identify the challenges that may impact the district and community in the next three to five years.
- If you could implement one change to benefit student success, what would it be?
We are inviting staff members, parents, students, community leaders, and other interested public members to work together with us – so that we can effectively plan for the future of our district and students. Any patron wishing to attend the session, please let us know by Monday, January 23rd, by calling (402)267-2445 or emailing us at sbrack@weepingwaterps.org. Patrons wishing to submit written comments that will be considered as part of the process are encouraged to do so. Written comments can be emailed to kreiman@weepingwaterps.org. Any other Questions can be directed to Kevin Reiman (kreiman@weepingwaterps.org) or Amy Kroll (akroll@weepingwatersp.org).
