Health Family

My name is Michelle Heath, and I am proud to be the Assistant Principal/Activities Director at Weeping Water Public School.  My husband, Chad, and I have 3 sons whom all graduated from WWPS:  Collin is a CPA for an accounting firm in Omaha, Mason is finishing his Math Education degree from UNK and will be teaching middle school and/or high school math, and Avery is attending UNO majoring in business management.

I completed my bachelors degree from Peru State College in 1995 and began substituting in the area.  I worked for Head Start for a year then started my career at Weeping Water in 1999 as a Kindergarten Teacher.  I earned a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Doane College in 2003 and an Educational Endorsement in K-6 Principalship from UNK in 2009.  I went on at Weeping Water to start the Pre-K program in 2006 along with managing the Title 1 Program.  After 14 years of that combination, I taught 3rd grade for a year and am now back in the Title 1 Program along with managing the Activities for WWPS where I love to see student-athletes excel.

In my free time, I enjoy exercising, gardening, reading, and jigsaw puzzles.  Of course, my love of sports continues to be fueled by the many activities I attend as an AD.  Although my own kids no longer play, I feel I have the whole school now as ‘my kids’ to make sure we are providing the best possible learning and activity environment possible.

Even though we are not originally from Weeping Water, it has become home for us.  We have found many special friends that we consider family in this wonderful small-town community.
