Anyone interested in joining the Boosters should contact anyone on the members' list. There are no dues. Two regularly scheduled meetings are held. One meeting is in August and a dinner meeting in March. Our major fundraiser is serving food in the kitchen and concession stand during eight Weeping Water Public School tournaments. The Boosters host a pancake supper prior to Honors Night. Donations received to fund a scholarship given to a graduating senior at the following year’s Honor Night.

The Weeping Water Community Boosters are part of the Midlands Community Foundation. As such the Boosters are a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Each December thru early January of the following year any donations made to the Midlands Community Foundation in the name Weeping Water Community Booster Fund are matched by Midlands Community Foundation. The match rate varies each year but has yielded almost $6000 to the Boosters in the first five years of being part of the Midlands Community Foundation. The Boosters also are eligible to apply for grants to assist with our donating to programs in the community or school. We received $3000 in a grant in 2015. The funds were given to the school for the community exercise facility. (More information about donating to the Booster Fund will be available when dates for the matching period are announced by the Midlands Community Foundation.)

The Boosters made the following donations in 2019 from funds raised from August 2018 through May 2019.

*Friends of the Weeping Water Library - $429 grant (for Maker Space crate – STEM items)

*Weeping Water Pubic School for uniforms - $4000 *Scholarships for two graduating seniors - $500

*WWPS library - $250 * WWPS foundation for golf outing hole sponsor - $150

*Weeping Water Public Library - $250 * FBLA for the national contest - $100

*After prom committee - $200 *Limestone Day - $1500

*Summer ball program (city) - $250 *WWPS – portable sound system -$159

*WWPS – Salad bar for lunch program - $2,119 *Nancy Reissig Memorial - $100 (to the Foundation)

The Boosters accept donations from individuals and groups. Ironically the Boosters received $429 from the Darrell and Norma Mather family at the same time the Boosters received a grant request from the Friends of the Weeping Water Public Library.

Anyone may join. Please see any Booster member for information about the next tournament we will be working at!
