Elem. and MS HAL students traveled to Morrill Hall on UNL campus for a day of fun and learning. Museum educators guided us through two gallery exhibits: Fossils of Nebraska and Sixth Mass Extinction. During the gallery tours, students learned about endangered species and the threats these animals face. Students then worked together to brainstorm solutions to the extinction crisis and learned about the work that young people are doing around the world to save our planet’s animals. To round off the day, we saw Journey to Mars at the planetarium.

Summer EBT helps kids who normally get free or reduced-price school meals access nutritious food during the summer.
Families may receive Summer EBT automatically if they're already enrolled in programs like SNAP, or they may need to apply through a straightforward online application.
Families can enjoy flexibility and choice in their food purchases. Recipients can use their EBT benefits like a debit card to buy food at grocery stores, supermarkets, and farmers' markets.
Benefits are available for each eligible school-age child in a household to ensure all children receive nutritious meals during the summer.
