Reminder: all 7-12 students who are playing sports are required to have a current physical (after May 31) before practice begins. 8th graders were omitted in the letter mailed this week. All 9-12 athletes are also required to have the NSAA parental permission form completed.

WWPS will be hosting a vaccine clinic during our Back to School Open House on August 18th from 6pm to 8pm. No appointments needed. It is open to the public. Pfizer (2-dose, age 12+) and Johnson & Johnson (1-dose, age 18+) vaccines will be available.
At the July 19th meeting, the WWPS Board unanimously passed a resolution opposing the proposed health standards as they are current written.

July is here and that means it's time for summer league volleyball on Wednesday nights starting at 5:00. Open Gym this week for K-12 is on Friday, July 9th from 10:00-12:00 in the morning. Coach Vasa will have it open for kids to play a friendly game of hoops or volleyball.
Weeping Water Athletics has started a GoFundMe page to purchase signs and display materials to celebrate the 2021 GBB team winning the Class D1 State Basketball Championship. The 2000 State Wrestling Signs were paid for through community donations. We are hoping to do the same with the GBB signs. The signs will be located on the west and south sides of town next to the Wrestling and Boys Basketball Signs.
