Thank you Nebraska Elks for presenting to the elementary students today about bully prevention. The puppet presentations taught students about being kind and how to be a good friend.
Weeping Water 8th and 12th graders experienced the poverty simulation with SENCA(Southeast Nebraska Community Action). The program is to help students understand the struggles that some family can find themselves in and what programs there are to help them during their time of struggle.
A virtual parent educational conference is being created for Nebraska families. The main goal is to create a conference for families, starting with asking for family ideas and preferences from this survey. The conference aims to offer growth and leadership opportunities for families and caregivers of young children to have a more significant voice in their schools and communities and provide families with information and support about Nebraska´s available resources. The focus is on families who have children ages 11 and under, and input is much appreciated.
The survey takes less than 5 minutes to complete, and the more responses collected will allow PDG staff to tailor the conference to meet the needs of Nebraska families. The survey is open now until December 17th, 2021.

Learn. Understand. Decide. The COVID-19 vaccine is our shot at a healthier tomorrow. If you’re deciding if the vaccine is right for you, don’t miss your shot to learn the facts:
-There are no live viruses in the COVID-19 vaccine
-You cannot get COVID-19 from the authorized vaccinations
-COVID-19 vaccines do not interact with your DNA in any way
Getting vaccinated protects you—and those around you.
